UGD Universal Gimbal Device

Optonaval’s Universal Gimbal Device (UGD) serves as a two-axis stabilized foundation for any customer specific payload. It is designed to withstand the harsh environment at open sea combined with the specific stipulations for equipment onboard of naval vessels.
Ship’s roll and pitch motions will be compensated, so that the payload remains in a horizontal position with an accuracy of approx. ±0.3°. Exact values of payload weight, dimensions and stabilization accuracy depend on the specific application according to customer’s requirements.
